Gray Babbs

Health Services Researcher

Hi, I’m Gray Babbs (he/him).

I’m a health services researcher, writer, and public scholar focused on advancing transgender and intersex health equity.

Right now, I’m finishing my PhD at Brown University, where my research investigates how our health systems serve—or fail—transgender and intersex people. I work primarily with claims and electronic health record data to uncover disparities in chronic disease care, mental health treatment, HIV services, and more.

My research sits at the intersection of evidence and action. In a moment when evidence-based health care is being politically targeted, I’m committed to producing work that defends our rights, informs smart policy, and supports communities most affected by systemic neglect.

I’m currently on the job market and seeking a tenure-track faculty position where I can continue this work—teaching, researching, and helping shape a field where transgender and intersex health is not an afterthought, but a priority.
